This is
an image, published in the Summer 2011 issue of Carpinteria Magazine,
that I shot from the old Thunder
Bowl racetrack area in my home town of Carpinteria, California of a hang glider
flying like a circus acrobatic with the Carpinteria Bluffs Nature Preserve and
the Carpinteria/Santa Barbara coastline behind him. I dedicate this photo
to the memory of our late, most energetic and hyperactive friend, Tom Mayor,
who died tragically and too young in June of 2010 at an air show doing what he
loved: gliding and, as usual, pushing the envelope.
